About the role
Turning streets into communities is the focus of a national project that is forging links on a local level and fostering an Australia-wide network of groups. The Street by Street project helps bring neighbours together, providing resources and support.

Position Purpose: To increase awareness of the project and grow the number of Street by Street groups through effective use of Social Media.
The Role of the Promoter – Social Media
You would:
Advise us on the best use of social media.
Develop and maintain a Facebook page for Street by Street, aiming to find Community Connectors to kick start connecting with their neighbours and share progress.
Develop and maintain a Twitter account for Street by Street.
Contact compatible organisations and ask them to post our messages on their social media pages/accounts.
Link our website to our social media accounts.
Post messaged about Street by Street on any suitable online mediums.
Assist with the blog on our website.
Possibly organise and promote webinars about Street by Street.
This role can be shared by two or more people so that it’s not too much work. We are looking for people who:
enjoy and are good at social media
are interested in being part of a project that turns streets into communities
are proactive, reliable and organised
have good communication skills
have experience promoting a project through social media (desirable)
design skills (desirable)

Guidance and advice from Irene Opper, Project Manager, and Maureen Maher, Project Coordinator by phone and email.
Information on our website and media kit.

Location
All the project team work from home and therefore can live anywhere in Australia.
