Halfway Home Animal Rescue finds homes for all breeds of companion animals (dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and to a lesser extent rabbits and guinea-pigs) where they have no other options. Mostly these animals are of the many on death row in pounds. These animals typically were either dumped by their owners or found as strays. We are run completely by volunteer staff and operate an in-home foster-care network. We operate a no-kill model and do whatever it takes to find a home for animals coming into out care. Often we take the old, sick or timid dogs and cats who have had a rough life and are often overlooked in the large shelters. Donations to Halfway Home are tax-deductible and our greatest need is funding for vet treatment.
The Animal Rehoming Service Inc. (TARS) is a Melbourne based registered charity which has found loving, permanent homes for over 3000 animals of every description, since it was established in the year 2000.
SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia Inc.) was launched in Karratha in February 2003 as a not for profit organisation which has now grown into a successful multi faceted animal welfare organisation with regional entities in Karratha, Albany, Broome, Carnarvon, Bunbury, Busselton, Hedland, Kalgoorlie, Tom Price, Newman and Perth. SAFE utilises foster carers to avoid the overhead costs and limitations associated with kenneling animals.

More than forty years later Queensland Conservation is Queensland’s leading voice for environmental protection. We are plugged in to what conservationists want and how government works. We’re fiercely independent and totally focussed on protecting, conserving and sustaining the nature of Queensland.
