As an employer, you are required to make super contributions on behalf your employees. Increasingly employers in the not-for-profit sector want to ensure they offer their staff a super option that is complementary to goals of their organisation. When we know our super has real world impacts it becomes untenable for a social organisation to be investing staff super in companies involved in harmful industries. A common example is gambling. It is highly likely that most employees who work to help those affected by problem gambling have their super invested in companies which manufacture and operate gambling machines.
