Each state also has plenty of organisations that service the Volunteering community.

SkillShare works only on clearly defined projects with specific finish dates, transferring the knowledge of experts to Not-For-Profit groups in communities. SkillShare is entirely operated and resourced by volunteers, who have all completed a comprehensive interview and induction process. DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) status is not required from the community groups they help and all projects are supported by a trained project Monitor to ensure everything runs smoothly for both the placed volunteer and the organisation.

The website is published by the Victorian Government's Community Participation Programs unit within the Department of Planning and Community Development and has plenty of advice and opportunities for both those seeking volunteers and those wanting to volunteer themselves.

They are focussed on providing for both volunteers and those seeking volunteers and supply a great deal of material and resources to the public. They're funded by the state and federal governments and also receive private funding and donations for specific programs.

The VRB matches volunteers to the groups and organisations that meet the needs of the volunteer whilst enhancing the service delivery of the organisation. The Centre for Volunteering is the peak volunteering body in NSW and includes Volunteering NSW, their service vehicle, and the School of Volunteer Management, a registered training organisation. They connect people and organisations through referral, training, resource development, information and education services to help people get involved in their communities and enhance the capacity and skills of Not for Profit organisations, corporations and government to become involved in the community.
Fido Skilled Volunteering (previously Friends In Deed Organisation) is a service offered by The Centre for Volunteering which incorporates Volunteering NSW and the School of Volunteer Management. They advertise skilled volunteering positions available in NSW and provide support not for profit organisations seeking volunteers.

Volunteering SA & NT (VSA&NT), is the peak body representing the interests of volunteers and the volunteering sector in South Australia and Northern Territory. They promote and celebrate volunteering and play a key leadership role in advancing volunteering by providing an extensive range of services, support and resources for some 600,000 volunteers and over 1400 volunteer organisations.

Volunteering ACT is a membership based, not-for-profit organisation. Membership is available to not-for-profit organisations involving volunteers, to individuals and to organisations interested in volunteer effort. They have information about training, recruitment, volunteer program establishment and management, program review and evaluation, insurance, and issues on volunteer placement. Members receive free consultation regarding setting up or evaluating a program, developing policies, procedures and strategic planning.
