There are a number of Australian and international leadership scholarships open to the Not for Profit sector for 2015.

The Sydney Leadership program is offering a number of full and partial scholarships for leaders and emerging leaders in the Not for Profit sector 2015.

Started by The Benevolent Society 16 years ago, Sydney Leadership Scholarships provide an intensive, eight-month learning experience for up to 30 leaders and emerging leaders from across Australia’s business, government, social enterprise and community sectors.

“The aim is to develop the skills to lead progressive change within organisations and make a positive impact in the broader community. More than 600 of Australia’s brightest leaders have graduated from the program since 1999,” Director of Social Leadership Australia, Geoff Aigner said.

“From CEOs and senior managers to up-and-coming talent with real potential to make a difference, Sydney Leadership is for people with intelligence, guts, determination and a generosity of spirit.”

The program combines the Harvard Adaptive Leadership model with experiential learning in challenging, community setting settings and has a strong focus on building cross-sector alliances.

Visit www.benevolent.org.au/leadership for more information or to register for an information session or contact Julie Ahern on 02 8262 3585. The deadline for applications is 22 September 2014.

The Stanford Australia Foundation is also offering two scholarships for study in the 2015 calendar year.

The scholarships offer up to $15,000 (for course fees and economy travel) to attend a Stanford Graduate School of Business executive program.

As part of the 2015 SAF Dyson Bequest Scholarship a second scholarship is offering up to $50,000 contribution towards course fees and economy travel for the six week Stanford Executive Program (SEP).

Di Winkler, the CEO of the Summer Foundation has just returned after completing  the  Stanford Executive Program as a recipient of the Stanford Australia Foundation Dyson Bequest program.

“The program exceeded my expectations – I walk away with some clear insights about the way I can improve my own leadership and communication skills. I have increased my knowledge of financial reporting, management control, organisation design and governance and am more equipped to lead our growing team,” Winkler said.

Applications close on September 30th.
