Social entrepreneur Jamie Green will host a very unique display when he stands inside a Perspex box for 24 hours straight in an effort to raise $24,000 to launch his sleepwear brand, One Night Stand on Friday, April 11.

After his own brief experience of sleeping rough, Green has worked to establish One Night Stand which, with each sale, will help young people through job assistance and providing meals.

“We’re passionate about connecting others to make change, simply through the power of their purchase,” Green said.

The event is being made possible by ING DIRECT’s Dreamstarter initiative which was created to fund innovative projects which produce positive social change.

Dreamstarter is ING DIRECT’s way of getting behind some of Australia’s most inspired go-getters. Seed funding is provided towards selected projects or ideas that are also supported by the Australian community through crowd funding.

To do this, they've partnered with StartSomeGood, a crowdfunding site geared towards social entrepreneurs with an inspired idea, no matter how big or small. Selected Dreamstarter projects that reach their 'tipping points' will receive support funding from ING DIRECT to help them achieve their fundraising goals.

The 24 hour One Night Stand stunt is set to get the ball rolling in what’s to be a promising chance for young people around the world.
