Inaugural National Affordable Housing Exchange

The Inaugural National Affordable Housing Exchange will take place in Sydney on 18 and 19 February 2010 and online registration is now available.

Being held in the historic railway workshops at Australia Technology Park, the Exchange offers an opportunity to bring together all sectors working on and in the affordable housing field.

This includes Not for Profit housing providers, property developers, financial institutions, and other industry representative bodies.

The Exchange is being hosted by the Community Housing Federation of Australia (CHFA) in response to the growing need for affordable housing.

CHFA Executive Director, Carol Croce says the Exchange aims to provide delegates with an opportunity to network, learn, and meet potential partners and suppliers from industry, government, and the community sector directly.

Croce says the Exchange will be a mix of exhibitions, masterclasses and seminars that focus on those areas of affordable housing activity which are generating new work and opportunities for organisations that finance, develop, or manage affordable housing programs.

The Federal Minister for Housing, the Hon Tanya Plibersek will be opening the Exchange.
