ICT Missing from Productivity Commission Draft Report

 According to the Infoxchange submission, the draft report mentions ‘ICT’ once in the entire document, and whilst it considers Drivers of innovation (9.3), it focuses solely on social innovation and makes no mention of technological innovation.

Infoxchange finds it remarkable that that the report does not consider ICT or digital proficiency as a profound means of removing impediments and improving the efficiency and effective delivery of government funded services, as set out in the guidelines provided to the commission.

Infoxchange has called on the Productivity Commission to realise that ICT is central to meeting the needs of the Not for Profit sector, and include recommendations for its use in the Final Productivity Commission Report.

“We now know that ICT improves the capacity, effectiveness and financial efficiency of organisations. NFPs must join the revolution. They must get smarter. It was never more important than now”
