The Organisation
Driven by a new executive leadership and strategic direction, Diabetes NSW represents 208,000 financial members and supporters, including people with diabetes, their families and friends. Diabetes NSW works to improve the health and wellbeing of people living with diabetes, help prevent diabetes related complications and make life easier through education, support and funding research.
The Role
Reporting to the Funding Development Manager this role will develop and grow income from family, private philanthropic, government and corporate trusts and foundations. Specifically the role will;
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to maximise long-term support
- Undertake research to identify and develop all potential sources of income
- Develop processes to ensure opportunities are maximised and deadlines achieved
Skills Required
You will have an understanding of the key success factors in a trust, foundation, grant or bid program including the ability to research opportunities and write successful proposals, pitches and reports. Ideally you will also possess;
- Knowledge of the Australian philanthropic giving environment
- Understanding of the key success factors in the submission process
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships
- Excellent writing skills with meticulous attention to detail
Use your writing, research and relationship skills to support people living with diabetes.
