About Us

Two leading and very successful organisations in the homelessness and related sectors, HomeGround and Hanover, have merged to form a new agency, Launch Housing, with an ambitious agenda to achieve our vision of ending homelessness. Launch Housing is a strong, single, focused voice on homelessness driven by the values of Empowerment, Fresh Thinking, Agility, Leadership and Courage.

As a key program of the organisation, the Tenancy and Property Service (TPS) serves a landlord function and is responsible for the end to end management of Transitional Housing for those experiencing, or at risk of homelessness. The program currently manages approximately 330 properties on behalf of the Department of Human Services (DHS) and operates across two DHS regions, primarily within the Local Government Areas of Yarra, Stonnington, and Port Phillip.

The Role

The primary focus of the Tenancy and Property Worker is to ensure the effective and efficient management of tenancies and properties in line with a broad range of policies, procedures and key legislation. The role is dynamic and varied and is best suited to practical, highly organised people. Your excellent attention to detail and strong administration skills will be relied upon on a daily basis.

Reporting to the Coordinator, Tenancy & Property Service, this role works with a number of key stakeholders from tenants to Government, Owners Corporations and the general public on a day to day basis. The ability to problem solve is essential and an ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with people from all walks of life is crucial.

The Tenancy and Property Worker is not required to provide support to our tenants. This role is very much about managing the tenancies and properties from the perspective of a landlord. Each of the households residing in Launch Housing managed Transitional Housing are provided support by one of the 60+ support agencies we partner with. This essentially means that for each tenancy, there is a three way relationship between the tenant/s, their support provider, and the Tenancy & Property Service.

If you have a desire for social change, and feel that you could contribute to our supportive team culture and the important work we do, please follow the links below to see the position description and lodge your application. When lodging your application, please ensure you include a cover letter in addition to your CV and Selection Criteria responses.

In return for your hard work and commitment, you will be offered a competitive salary (including salary packaging), and a number of generous staff benefits such as bonus leave days, staff wellbeing, and ongoing learning / development opportunities. You will also be offered the chance to be a part of one of Melbourne’s leading housing and homelessness organisations, Launch Housing.
