Based in Stawell, approximately 235kms west of Melbourne,Grampians Community Health (GCH) is a not-for profit Community Health Centre that has been providing coordinated health and community services to people within the Central Grampians and Wimmera sub regions since 1986. Their multi-disciplinary approach to psychosocial health aligns with a Social Model of Health philosophy and aims to promote healthy living in the Grampians whilst also improving the standard of living.
About the Opportunity
GCH has an opportunity for a Principal Strategic Program Manager to manage their Homelessness and Family Violence Program within the Western District Area of Wimmera. You’ll be based in either Horsham or Stawell in Victoria, working on a part-time basis (0.5 EFT).
Reporting to both the Direct Care Manager and Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for the strategic management of the Homelessness and Family Violence Program in order to ensure the programs’ effectiveness within the local community.
Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Establishing an annual cycle of strategic planning and review;
- Establishing and supporting working groups;
- Monitoring and reporting on the progress made towards achieving goals set out in the strategic plan;
- Acting as a neutral facilitator when developing meeting agendas, providing support, and fostering and maintaining key stakeholder relationships;
- Coordinating research, establishing data collection processes, and collating data;
- Establishing outcome indicators and performance measures to evaluate progress, and analysing and monitoring progress against these measures;
- Supporting community engagement through developing a comprehensive community engagement plan, coordinating with other major initiatives within the community, attending and participating in appropriate networks, forums, and conferences, and responding to requests for action from community partners; and
- Developing effective communications and advocacy through developing external communications materials, coordinating with external organisations to advocate for legislative and policy change, and representing the program to the public, the media, and appropriate forums.
