About the role
The Victorian Council of Social Service (VCOSS) is the peak body of the social and community sector in Victoria. We advocate for an equitable and sustainable society in which every Victorian has a fair share of the community’s resources and services. VCOSS is a unique membership based organisation with a rich history of social justice advocacy in Victoria.
The role leads a unique service that builds the capacity of organisations to empower people with disability, provides information to improve understanding and enforcement of rights, and builds strong collaborative relationships that enable the voices of people with disability, their families and carers to be heard.
Reporting to the VCOSS Deputy CEO, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the development of networks and relationships that improve the ability of DARU to implement its goals. A key priority of the position is to implement the objectives of the DARU strategic plan and strategically position DARU to secure and evolve its role in a rapidly changing environment.
Excellent written, interpersonal and organisational skills are also critical to this role. Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience is required. This position is full time. VCOSS offers a number of flexible work conditions to help staff to achieve work-life balance. Salary and conditions of employment are governed by the Victorian Council of Social Service Enterprise Agreement 2014 and VCOSS policies and procedures.
The position is a level 4: $77,000–$88,421 + 9.5% super.
