Outreach supports the vulnerable in our society, with an emphasis on women and families, offering services that are professional, flexible and responsive to emerging community needs.

About the Role:

The purpose of this position is to manage and coordinate quality improvement to maintain compliance with all community services and health accreditation frameworks/standards relating to Outreach’s services. This role is responsible for ensuring, in conjunction with the Outreach GM and Committee, a rigorous governance framework is established and adhered. This framework must be focussed on safety, quality and person centred care, within the philosophy, mission and values of Outreach and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

The Quality Manager is responsible for proactively managing all aspects of risk to support Outreach programs, volunteers and clients to minimise potential litigation now and in the future, and ensuring all policies and procedures of Outreach reflect evidence based practice and legislative requirements.

About the Candidate:

The candidate must have:

  • Minimum three years post graduate experience

  • A commitment to the Philosophy, Mission, Values and Ethics and Code of Conduct of St Vincent’s Health Australia

  • Strong commitment to a continuous improvement philosophy

  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and professionally with limited supervision and outstanding attention to detail.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the processes of change management and an ability to identify the impact of changes on quality requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with complaint management and dispute resolution.

  • Advanced PC skills.

  • Strong time management skills.

  • Solid ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding and dynamic work environment and to effectively ‘deliver’.

  • Ability to effectively prioritise and manage a large volume of work in a ‘change-rich’ environment.

  • Polished communication and presentation skills including strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent written & oral communication skills.Significant experience working with minimal supervision

  • Project Management skills

  • Knowledge of risk assessment software

  • Previous experience in similar senior roles

  • Participate in any meetings or training that may benefit GM and its organisational objectives.

  • Ability to seek and identify training opportunities which will enhance personal professional development.
