Reporting to the CEO, your purpose is to develop and promote policy for AMA Victoria in consultation with the CEO, Board, senior staff, Members and other stakeholders.

You will analyse and monitor the policy environment, identify key issues and maintain a network of influence with government, political parties, bureaucracy, NGOs and educational institutions. Responsibilities include most media communication other than publicity and promotion.

This key position demands a comprehensive understanding of health policy and the health sector, high level analytical skills, and experience in a senior government relations or policy role. You should be a team player with a ‘can do’ approach who can communicate and engage positively at every level. Highly developed written and oral skills are essential for this stimulating environment.
