About the role
Nazareth Care Australasia is the business arm of the Congregation of the Sisters of Nazareth and encompasses five residential aged care houses and independent living services across Australia and New Zealand. All services are interdominational and are based on the ethos of the Sisters of Nazareth; in their culture, attitudes and actions, in their quality of services, and business practices. Reporting to the CEO, this newly created executive opportunity will be responsible for providing leadership to the Finance and Business Support functions of the organisation driving financial accountability and sustainability. You will be accountable for ensuring optimal business planning processes, risk mitigation, financial governance and for implementing business practices and improvements that enhance outcomes for the service delivery areas.
The ideal candidate will present with strong technical skills and qualifications as a CPA or CA as well as the following:
- 5 years experience working in a similar multi-faceted executive role within the not for profit sector and ideally residential aged care
- Strong commercial acumen and sound decision making skills
- Prior experience implementing organisational wide business improvement projects
- Prior successes with Asset and Investment management
- Highly developed strategic financial planning skills
- The ability to build a cohesive and effective team
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and influence effectively
In addition the successful candidate will have the opportunity to support capital works projects, new IT system projects and you will be joining a highly capable and engaged team.
