About the role

Sisters of Charity Outreach is a community service organisation committed to providing assistance to families in need across New South Wales through the active participation of trained volunteers and staff.

Outreach supports the vulnerable in our society, with an emphasis on women and families, offering services that are professional, flexible and responsive to emerging community needs.

Reporting to the General Manager this new role has been created and will be responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of a multi-channel, comprehensive annual fundraising program which achieves set objectives on time and within budget. The role is to develop and grow Outreach’s donor base and increase revenue generation and awareness within the community.

About the Role:

  • Assisting in the formulation and implementation of a fundraising plan for Outreach which includes the introduction of new revenue streams
  • Building networks and developing new partnership opportunities with corporate, industry, private donors and government agencies
  • Oversee the development, planning and implementation of all fundraising activities, events and programs including Appeals, Regular Giving, Events, Grants, Bequests, Workplace giving and other donor communication strategies.
  • Support the identification of grant opportunities for funding, grant submissions, monitoring and reporting of all grant opportunities.
  • Achieve agreed annual income and budget accountabilities across all areas of the operational fundraising program
  • Assisting in the establishment of a bequest, workplace giving and major gifts program
  • Building a Cause related marketing program

About the Candidate:

The candidate must have:

  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, relationship management and/or business development
  • Demonstrated experience in the project management of events, with a proactive ‘hands on’ approach
  • A commitment to the Philosophy, Mission, Values and Ethics and Code of Conduct of Outreach and St Vincent’s Health Australia
  • Strong commitment to a continuous improvement philosophy
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and professionally with limited supervision and outstanding attention to detail.
  • Experience delivering high performance results on a sustained basis working with limited resources
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people, including volunteers
  • Solid ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding and dynamic work environment and to effectively ‘deliver’.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage a large volume of work in a ‘change-rich’ environment.
  • Polished communication and presentation skills including strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of computer literacy and confidence in utilising digital platforms in particular customer relationship management systems (CRMs) – Salesforce
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
