Development Officer

Ninti One is a national not-for-profit organisation that builds opportunities for people in remote Australia through research, innovation and community development.  Its work has earned an enviable reputation for delivering high quality, ground-breaking outcomes for remote Australia.  The Ninti One Foundation has recently been established and supports this important work.

This exciting and newly created role will support the General Manager Business Development (GMBD) to manage and implement the Ninti One Foundation annual philanthropy plan.  The priorities in the first year include securing funds from philanthropic trusts and foundations and building relationships with potential donors.  Responsibilities include :-

• researching, preparing and implementing the fundraising plan;
• ensuring regular and effective communications with donors and coordinating a range of creative and enjoyable donor functions;
• maintaining an accurate and user friendly database of donors and corporate and community partners;
• proactively maintaining, developing and enhancing strong ongoing relationships with a wide range of Ninti One stakeholders.

Applications are invited from technologically savvy and appropriately qualified professionals with experience in contemporary fundraising, philanthropy, communications, PR, marketing or a related discipline and the professionalism to perform in this key research and stakeholder interface role.  A genuine interest in and knowledge of remote Australia is important as is the drive, focus, passion and supreme interpersonal skills necessary to achieve positive outcomes for both the organisation and its supporters.

For the right candidate, there is flexibility for this position to be based in SA, NT, Vic, NSW or Qld.  Frequent travel (interstate and remote Australia) will be anticipated.
