Getting Started for Volunteers

Volunteering is a great way to get out and about in your area & meet interesting people, while also giving back to your community.
By simply giving up your time, you can effectively help others and make a difference.

There are various ways to get involved with volunteering and the following information will help you to get started and discover the perfect position for you.

Firstly you should consider the type of volunteering you would like to do.

  • Do you have specific training?
  • Do you have professional experience in a certain area?
  • Have you worked within a particular industry for ages and ages ages and ages....?
  • Are you a whiz at anything in particular?

Yes?

Then you can be described as a skilled volunteer and you can use your talents to help Not for Profit organisations.
This might be helping complete specific tasks within an organisation or even using your experience to be a mentor or consultant.
