Youngcare At Home Care Grants New South Wales

The grants, offered by Youngcare and funded by GIO, aim to prevent further admissions into aged care by funding essential equipment such as wheelchairs and electric beds, respite care or home modifications. A total of $150,000 in funding is available in this round for grants between $2,000 and $10,000. Applications will close at 4pm on 31 May 2013.

Young people on the brink of a lifetime in aged care can apply for essential support grants until 31 May.This is the national charity’s third round of At Home Care Grants in New South Wales (NSW) for people with high care needs. “Aged care is no place for a young person,” said Youngcare’s Anna Cox.“But sadly that’s where 2,758 young people in New South Wales currently find themselves.” The grants, funded entirely by GIO, aim to prevent further admissions into aged care by funding essential equipment such as wheelchairs and electric beds, respite care or home modifications. GIO spokesperson Matt Kayrooz said they are proud to support the Youngcare At Home Care Grants in NSW. A total of $150,000 in funding is available in this round for grants between $2,000 and $10,000.

Applications will close at 4pm on 31 May 2013 and forms can be downloaded from www.youngcare.com.au/nswgrants
