LifeCircle Sydney Launch and Bev Gallop Memorial Fund

Celebrate the launch of LifeCircle, an organisation which stems from a long history of service in the community. LifeCircle's vision is to help all Australians to live and die well, with community providing experience, support, and wisdom.

This event is the Sydney launch of LifeCircle and a fundraiser for the Bev Gallop Memorial Fund. The fund is named for Bev Gallop, whose family was provided support and mentoring from LifeCircle during the end stages of Bev's illness.

LifeCircle has a long history of working in the community.  Formed from the merger of two organisations, Home Hospice and Life Goes On, LifeCircle came into being on 1 July 2011.

LifeCircle has universal resonance – as so many of us have been touched by friends or family with life threatening illness or at life’s end.

LifeCircle acts locally to support people in their own community, helping them become more confident, resourceful and independent.

Funds raised will support LifeCircle mentors who guide and assist carers of those with a life threatening illness. Funds will also enable more telephone counsellors for our HOPELINE® to answer questions of those caring for, or with, a terminal illness.

Hear from inspiring speakers Edmond Roy (Executive Producer PM program, ABC Radio, FORMER FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT, 2010 Woodrow Wilson Scholar; and

The Hon Dr Geoff Gallop, Professor, Director, Graduate School of Government, University of Sydney.

MC Quentin Dempster AM will guide the event.

Please join us in celebrating the merger and strengthening of this marvellous community based organisation.
