Ageing Today: Different Perspectives on Growing Old
The Lord Mayor’s Foundation is co-hosting a public forum called ‘Ageing Today: Different Perspectives on Growing Old’. It is to be held at Zinc, Federation Square, on Thursday 20 October from 6 pm – 8 pm. The centerpiece of this forum will be the screening of a short film by YouthWorx Productions. (YouthWorx is a social enterprise that provides film and production training/employment to young people who are homeless.) The film is based on how ‘youngies’ and ‘oldies’ view themselves and each other; it will also consider the possibilities that exist between the generations. It is hoped that this ageing forum will become the nub of the Foundation’s ageing initiative, much like what Melbourne’s Road Home has become for the Foundation’s homelessness projects. To register for this free public forum please email or call Bill Snaddon: bill.snaddon@lmcf.org.au or 03 9633 0025.
