Showcasing good practice and methodology for delivering Community Legal Education (CLE) to CALD communities
There is an emphasis by the government for early intervention strategies to:
- address legal problems occurring
- prevent duplication where possible and allocate resources to meet needs effectively
- develop innovative new programs and approaches to ensure CALD communities are fully informed of their rights and responsibilities under the law in Australia.
Featuring Katie Fraser, formerly of Footscray CLC, on legal education and settlement services and presentations from VLA, Moreland CLC, Springvale LS, AMES and the Department of Justice Refugee Program
This forum will not only be invaluable workers in the legal sector, but for managers and caseworkers who work with CALD and emerging communities.
Please RSVP by Friday 8 July to Jennie Chainey at jenniec@vla.gov.au or call 03 9269 0138
