- How aware are you of the public assessment of your leadership position?
- What does it mean for your own authority and power?
- How do you partner with others in authority under scrutiny?
Join Social Leadership Australia alumni, friends and current program participants for breakfast and participate in a unique learning experience about an important and challenging aspect of leadership.
Leaders exercising formal power and authority are under the spotlight as never before. Queensland Premier Anna Bligh, Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Federal Opposition Leader Tony Abbott have all faced intense public scrutiny in the last few weeks.
While this is taken for granted at the political level, such scrutiny is often poorly recognised, understood or worked with in organisational and community life.
Hosted by the Head of Social Leadership Australia, Robbie Macpherson, the breakfast session will provide a space to explore the challenges and opportunities that present themselves when formal authority is under the spotlight.
This is an opportunity to be introduced to a new approach and new ways of thinking about leadership.
All welcome. Places limited. Please RSVP to Amanda Mead (07) 3170 4618 amandam@bensoc.org.au
