If you know other suitable people who may be willing to participate please feel free to pass on this invitation.

What is the purpose of the workshop?

SPP (Strategic Project Partners) is working with the Victorian Government (Office for the Community Sector) to assess the feasibility of an online information gateway targeted at the NFP sector. This online information gateway is intended to provide a “one-stop-shop” where NFPs can easily find relevant information and tools to complete key operational and regulatory compliance activities.

As you may be aware, we recently conducted an online survey of NFP sector representatives to obtain feedback on the needs of the sector and potential solutions which could be incorporated into this web gateway. This survey has informed our view of what the new gateway must include.

Through these workshops we now hope to gain:

·         A more detailed understanding of what the sector needs to reduce current regulatory burden; and

·         Feedback on the suitability of the proposed gateway.

This will enable us to ensure the proposed gateway is able to deliver the greatest possible benefit to NFP organisations.

Who should participate?

We are seeking representatives from both small and large organisations and from a range of sectors (e.g. community services, cultural and recreational services, religious organisations, peak organisations and advocacy groups, sporting clubs, and education/childcare services etc).

Participants should either be people who have:

·         Responsibility for conducting regulatory compliance activities on behalf of not-for-profit organisations  (i.e. financial managers/treasurers, HR managers, secretaries/public officers, presidents, administrators, HR managers, fundraising coordinators etc); or

·         A good understanding of the time requirements these activities take for their organisation
