Walk a mile in my boots

Walk a mile in the boots of someone who is homeless on Friday 6th August. Every morning in Adelaide people walk across the parks and through the streets to Hutt St Centre for a meal and a shower. Support the work of Hutt St Centre by walking one mile from North Terrace along Hutt St to South Tce where breakfast will await you.

Each day 200 people who are homeless and vulnerable come to Hutt St Centre for a meal, a shower, to use the bathroom or laundry, to see a social worker or meet people they know in a safe and welcoming place.

Participants in walk a mile in my boots assist the Centre to provide Education and Training opportunities for people to learn new skills, develop self confidence and self esteem, and find pathways out of homelessness with support and encouragement.

Register as an individual or as part of a team from work, school, social club, walking group or with friends or family.  Every person who participates will make a difference to the lives of people who are homeless.
