Management of Volunteers: Executive Course

This course is for managers either directly managing volunteers or working on volunteer strategy. It is both for organisations that have volunteers and those that wish to recruit volunteers.

Volunteers are the backbone of many human service organisations and nonprofits; they make many social programs possible and fill the void created by the withdrawal of the welfare system. Without volunteer participation, the services that are offered by many nonprofit organisations would be unavailable or provided at higher cost to government, clients and tax payers. However, only a few organisations know how to motivate volunteers without offering material benefits in the third sector.
