3rd Annual SACS Awards for Leadership in the Not-For-Profit Sector

Following our highly successful inaugural SACS Award for Leadership in the NFP Sector held in 2009, SACS Consulting invites nominations for three levels of Awards in 2010. The awards aim to recognise and foster leadership in the Victorian Not-for-Profit sector and is supported by SACS Consulting.


Non-Executive Leader- this person is in a leadership role that is not considered to be at the executive level within their organisation

We are seeking submissions from within the sector outlining examples of outstanding leadership which meet the following criteria:

 

  • Positive contribution to the organisation’s efficiency and effectiveness
  • Positive contribution to colleagues – enhancement of the organisation’s internal environment
  • Innovation and creativity
  • Demonstration of integrity and positive values


Leadership Victoria (LV) is an innovative, independent, not-for-profit organisation developing people who exercise positive and enduring leadership in and for the real world. LV will evaluate the submissions (maximum of five pages) against the four criteria: All criteria will be weighted equally. The submissions will not be evaluated by SACS and will have no input into the choice of the winner of the Award, accepting Leadership Victoria’s decision.


The winner for each of the three categories will receive a prize of $5,000 to be awarded to the organisation employing the leader. The money will be used to foster and develop leadership ability within the organisation and it will be up to the successful leader to decide how the funds are deployed. Second and third places will receive free admission to the highly successful Leadership Victoria Board Orientation programme. The top three submissions for each category including the winner will be recognised at an event in late July of this year, details of which will be announced by
the end of March.
