Australian cricketing royalty will unite for an afternoon on the harbour to discuss all things cricket and raise funds to support children and adults with disability on Friday, 26 February.
Northcott Disability Services 14th Annual Cricket Legends Lunch, held at Dockside -  Cockle Bay Wharf, Darling Harbour will boast some of Australia’s greatest cricketing players and minds including Mike Whitney; Master of Ceremonies.
Over 30 legends will share in the event, with key commentaries on the day from Michael Bevan, Alan Davidson, Geoff ‘Henry’ Lawson, Greg ‘Mo’ Matthews, Neil Harvey, Trevor Chappell and experienced commentator Jim Maxwell.
The lunch, sponsored by Cricket NSW and the Dockside Group will feature a panel discussion on the accolades and controversies of the 2009-2010 Summer Season, including the pink ball, day/night test matches, the death of one day internationals as well as the upcoming Ashes tour; when the poms hit Aussie shores.
The event aims to get the big runs and raise $130,000 for Northcott’s Recreation and Leisure program.
This program operates across NSW to provide children and adults with a disability the opportunity to spend time with their peers in social and sporting activities.
The legendary lunch will start with drinks and canapés overlooking a beautiful city view, followed by a three-course meal with first class Australian wines and beers.
Tickets cost $1950 for a table of 10, $2500 for a table of 10 including a legendary cricket host or $195 for an individual ticket – a portion of each ticket is tax deductable.
