The practice of social responsibility stands on the brink of the biggest changes since CSR entered management practice in the 1970s. Business leaders the world round are now recognising that there can be no return to ‘business as usual’. But what will the new ‘normal’ look like?

CSR survived the Global Financial Crisis. The latter’s failure to address stakeholder and ethical issues have taken trust in business to new lows. In 2010, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the world’s leading standards body, will release a standard on what it means to be a socially responsible organisation.

Experts from 91 countries have been working intensively since 2004 to reach consensus on what "social responsibility" means, and what should go in the world's first standard on the subject.

The new standard has the potential to re-shape the CSR landscape.

Find out what the new standard will mean for your organisation and how responsible business practice has emerged from the crisis sharper and more focused than ever.
