NTEN 501 Oz Webinar 1 July, CIO - RACP presents "Building Effective IT Vendor Relationships for your Non Profit Organisation" - NTEN 501 Tech Club - Australia
Warren McDonald - CIO of the Royal Austrasian College of Physicians. will present on some of the unique opportunities that are available to non-profit organizations to identify and build effective relationships with IT vendors.

The webinar will cover the approaches and challenges of dealing with IT Vendors of all sizes, from the 2 person IT shop to large IT vendors while striking a balance between building trust and managing risk.

Speaker

Warren McDonald is the CIO of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP). Prior to joining RACP, Warren was the CIO with a startup biotechnology company and previously 10 years in a succession of roles up to Manager, Projects and Change Management with the Royal Bind Society.

Over his IT career in NFP, Life Sciences and Health Education he has managed a diverse and unusual portfolio of projects and the vendor contracts to make them happen.

Moderators - Jeevan Joshi (Australia Tech Club Organiser) and Jyothi Shankar.

Dealing with Occupational Violence and Bullying at your workplace - Victorian Council of Social Service VIC
Bullying and occupational violence is a major issue in many workplaces. While the employer has a legal obligation to control hazards associated with our work, employee participation is a key element in any effective health and safety management system.


This session explores Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) legislation and other guidance material in dealing with the issue of bullying and occupational violence. After attending this session, participants will gain an understanding of OHS legislation with regards to bullying and occupational violence and be equipped with information to implement preventative policies in their organisation.

HORSHAM SESSION:


Time: 9am – 1.30pm on 15th July 2009

Cost: $40 or $20 for VCOSS Members
