Volunteering Victoria's vision is Victorian communities connected and involved through volunteering.
Our mission is to support, lead and represent the volunteering community in ways that strengthen its capacity and impact in Victoria.
Projects in Progress
We have six strategic goals for 2011-2014:
- To deliver information and advice to support volunteers and encourage Victorians to volunteer.
- To make the case for supported and sustainable volunteering by ensuring that its value and complexity is understood.
- To harness the collective strength of Volunteering Victoria’s membership in order to better advocate on volunteering issues.
- To support the volunteering community’s adjustment to a changing world.
- To support advocacy on volunteering issues to government and other decision makers, by ensuring there is evidence to support our arguments.
- To strengthen Volunteering Victoria as a peak body, including by seeking additional sources of funding and exploring new partnerships.
We work to deliver these goals via the following programs and services:
- Volunteer Information Service
- Employee Volunteering Program
- Public speaking and media
- Policy and advocacy
- Network support
- Resources and information
- Professional development
