Mission / Objective

Telstra Child Flight is a charity that specialises in flying intensive emergency medical care to seriously ill babies and children and transporting them to a specialist hospital to receive the further care they need.

Telstra Child Flight is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for rapid-response critical care air transportation anywhere in NSW or the ACT. Since our inception in 1989 we have transported over 7,200 babies and children.

Wills and Bequests

A Will is an important life document.

For a more lasting legacy and if you feel the time is right, why not consider making provision in your will for a bequest to help Telstra Child Flight keep its emergency, intensive care helicopter service for babies and children in the air.

We depend on your generosity.Telstra Child Flight is the only helicopter rescue service in the southern hemisphere especially for critically ill kids and babies. In our 20 years of operation, we have transported over7,000 children from urban and regional hospitals in NSW and the ACT to state-of-the-art medical facilities located in Canberra, Sydney or Newcastle.

This life-saving, essential work is costly, and we must raise more than $1.5 million each year. Although each helicopter 'mission' costs Telstra Child Flight between $8,000 and $16,000, the service is free to those who need it. If you wish to make a bequest in favour of Telstra Child Flight, may be suggest the following wording in your Will:

"I bequeath to Telstra Child Flight for its life saving work the sum of (a specified sum), or my (specified items), or (the residue of my estate) free of all duties and taxes including, if any, Capital Gains Tax, and the receipt of the <> Chief Executive Officer or any other authorised officer of Child Flight Inc. for the time being shall be a complete and sufficient discharge for the executor(s)'.

Volunteering

If you would like to hold your own fundraising event for Telstra Child Flight, all you have to do is ask and we'll provide as much support as you need.
