Mission / Objective

The Sir Zelman Cowen Universities Fund is committed to the support of medical research for the relief of disease. We accept that the impotence of medicine in the face of some diseases comes from ignorance and that the power of modern medicine comes from its ability to combine knowledge with care. Our long-term goal is to aid the gaining of knowledge which will relieve human suffering through, basic medical research. The Fund has a longstanding commitment to research into degenerative diseases of the nervous system, including Alzheimer's disease.
