Mission / Objective

Senses Foundation is Western Australia's primary advocate and Service Provider for people who are Deafblind or Blind with additional disabilities. Deafblindness is a particularly isolating disability that has significant effect on communication, socialization, mobility and daily living. For those who are deafblind, or blind with additional disabilities, ordinary daily living can be a struggle filled with uncertainty, frustration, loneliness and even fear. Senses Foundation provides highly specialised programs and services to children and adults to improve communication, socialisation, mobility and quality of life; helping them reach personal goals and maintain the best possible quality of life as valued community members.

Projects in Progress

Senses Foundation constantly provides services and advocacy for children and adults in Western Australia who are deafblind, or blind with additional disabiliies. These services include - Respite - Supported Recreation - Alternatives to Employment and Post School Options - Supported Accommodation - Specialist Communication support - Physiotherapy - Occupational therapy - Speech pathology - Social Work - Advocacy and - A Consultative Services to other health professionals working with people who are deafblind
