RSPCA Qld was established in 1883, today we have 1 600 members and 70 000 donors and supporters throughout Qld. Dedicated to improving the welfare of all animals our objectives are: - To enforce existing animal welfare laws. - To procure the passage of legislation as necessary to ensure the protection of animals. - To sustain intelligent public opinion regarding animal welfare. - To take whatsoever steps are necessary to educate community with regard to the humane treatment of animals. - To diffuse information about the care, protection and treatment of animals by circulating literature, conducting lectures and seminars. - To operate clinics, hospitals or shelters for the care, treatment and protection of animals, and to acquire and conduct ambulance transport of animals
