Oncology Children's Foundation

Mission / Objective

The Oncology Children’s Foundation (OCF) is an Australian charity dedicated to finding cures for childhood cancers with the lowest survival rates such as Brain Tumours and Neuroblastoma. Almost half of children with these types of cancer lose their battle. This is an outcome that OCF is determined to improve by funding some of Australia’s best childhood cancer researchers. We are committed to giving every child with cancer the opportunity to grow up and live their dreams.

Projects in Progress

OCF is funding Australian researchers who are passionate, determined and innovative to find cures for childhood cancers with the lowest survival rates. Each research program that we fund compliments the other by focusing on solving a different piece of the puzzle- earlier diagnosis, better treatments and fewer side effects. Two of the most common childhood cancers, Brain Tumours and Neuroblastoma, are also among the most aggressive childhood cancers. Almost 50 per cent of children with these diseases lose their battle and many children who win are left with lifelong side effects from their treatments.
