Mission / Objective

The Oncology Children's Foundation (OCF) is a not-for-profit children's charity dedicated to finding a cure for children suffering from cancer, leukaemia and other serious cancer related illnesses. We are the only children's charity exclusively devoted to raising funds for medical research into childhood cancers at The Westmead Children's Hospital, at Westmead. Over the past four years we have donated over $6 million to the Hospital. Our mission is to help find cures and on behalf of our financial supporters, give children with cancer the gift of life.

Projects in Progress

The Oncology Children's Foundation has made a commitment for the next 5 years to fund the entire cost of the new Gene Therapy Program at the Oncology Research Unit. This will cost $2.5 million. The aim of this project is to minimise the life threatening side effects associated with the high dose of chemotherapy needed to fight brain tumours.
