Odyssey House McGrath Foundation

Mission / Objective

Our vision is that our clients are supported to overcome their dependencies, become empowered to address the causes of their addictions, and to develop a capacity for self-help that will enable them to live within, and contribute to, the community. Using a therapeutic community model, Odyssey House’s goal is to save lives by providing professional support, in a safe environment, to people addicted to alcohol and other drugs.

Projects in Progress

Odyssey House's current project is the refurbishment of our Assessment and Referral Centre located at Ingleburn, NSW. The facility was formerly known as "The Farm". The building is Heritage listed and was constructed at a time when there were few, if any, council policies regarding building regulations. Recent regulatory requirements in the areas of fire and occupational health and safety make it imperative we refurbish the building in order to meet these standards. We have also expanded our services to include the Odyssey House Macarthur Community Centre which can now cater for the growing needs of clients that are coming from the greater west area.

We are currently going through the accreditation process and we are hoping to develop a new therapeutic and child development garden in our Parents and Childrens Program facility.
