Nazareth Care
Mission / Objective
The Sisters of Nazareth founded by Victoire Larmenier in 1851, established their first Community of Care in Ballarat in 1888. Nazareth Care is a newly incorporated entity which brings the following aged care facilities under one structure; Nazareth House Wynnum, Nazareth House Ballarat, Nazareth House Camberwell, Nazareth House Tamworth and Nazareth House Geraldton. Nazareth Care is dedicated to providing comprehensive aged care residential services to those regardless of race or creed who are socially and/or financially disadvantaged. Aged Care services include low care, high care, dementia specific care, palliative care and extra care services such as lifestyle and activities, hairdressing, with a focus on the total physical, emotional, spiritual and cultural well being of the resident

Ms Julie-Anne Schafer - Commissioner
Julie-Anne Schafer was appointed Commissioner of the National Transport
Commission on 4 April 2008. Ms Schafer is experienced as a company director
in the transport and membership services, insurance, health and procurement
sectors. She has more than 30 years’ legal experience.
Ms Schafer was Chairperson of the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland and
also served as a director. She has been a director of the Australian
Automobile Association. Ms Schafer was also Chairperson of RACQ Insurance and
was a director for a number of years. She has been a director of several
hospitals. She also served on law faculty advisory committees of the
University of Queensland, the Queensland University of Technology, Griffith
University and Bond University. She was an adjunct Professor of Law at the
University of Queensland and has been Deputy Chancellor of the Queensland
University of Technology.
Ms Schafer is a director of Queensland Rail Limited, Chair of Sunshine Coast
Destination Limited and a board member/incoming Chair of Church Resources
Limited. She is a former Telstra Queensland Business Women’s Award winner.
John Cornips – BJT Legal ,Certified Financial Planner
John is Managing Director of BJT Financial planning Pty Ltd, our Financial
Planning Division. He has over twenty five years experience assisting
clients with their financial affairs and has qualifications in accounting,
administration and Financial Planning. He provides financial strategies and
advice in all areas of Financial Planning including Superannuation,
Retirement and Redundancy planning, Share Market investments and Self Managed
Superannuation Funds. John is a member of the Financial Planning Association
and a Certified Financial Planner.
