Mission / Objective

Job Watch aims to improve the quality of workers' lives, and strives for a fair and just working environment for all, especially the most disadvantaged workers in the community.

Projects in Progress

JobWatch is an Employment Rights Legal Centre which provides assistance to Victorian workers about their rights at work. JobWatch was founded in 1980 and has provided assistance to approximately 20,000 Victorian workers each year. Our functions include:- - free and confidential telephone information and referral services. - Representation and assistance for disadvantaged workers. - Community legal education, including seminars and training that can be tailored for different audiences. - Law reform campaigns which promote workplace justice and equity. JobWatch has a number of publications regarding employment rights. We produce information sheets that are available on our website www.jobwatch.org.au.
