Mission / Objective
Greenfleet is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to make a difference, not a profit. Greenfleet is dedicated to helping the community reduce the environmental impact of travel, business and lifestyle choices by adopting low-carbon alternatives and planting native forests. Our philosophy for tackling climate change involves three key phases: 1. AVOID creating emissions wherever possible; 2. REDUCE the rate at which you do create emissions; 3. OFFSET remaining emissions by planting native forests to recapture CO2 from the atmosphere. These forests do more than just take carbon from the atmosphere. Greenfleet forests also help to reduce salinity and soil erosion, provide essential habitat for native wildlife, improve biodiversity and help build climate change resilience across the Australian landscape.
Services
Whether you are an individual, businesses, government or not-for-profit organisation, Greenfleet can help you REDUCE your impact on climate change and OFFSET your greenhouse gas emissions. Any action or product that creates a greenhouse gas emission can be offset. At Greenfleet we focus on offsetting emissions generated through vehicles, air travel and the gas and electricity used by households, businesses or orgnisations in general.
Beneficiary Group
All Australians benefit from a healthy environment - our environment provides us with fresh water, clean air, quality soils and much more.
Annual Report:
Projects in Progress
Since 1997, Greenfleet has planted more than 6 million trees, thanks to the support of thousands of individuals and several hundred corporate supporters - including some of Australia's best known brands, as well as many smaller businesses, government and not-for-profit organisations. Greenfleet plant mixed native (biodiverse) forests that also help to reduce soil erosion, improve water quality and provide habitat for native animals. Greenfleet work with local contractors to source seed, grow seedings and plant your trees - helping to support rural economies and employment.
