Mission / Objective

Our mission is to provide girls with dynamic opportunities in education, training and personal growth which develop their individual potential and prepare them for life. We incorporate traditional values within a caring, Christian environment, together with the best contemporary teaching methods and learning experiences.

Beneficiary Group

Girls who wish to attend the Glennie School as a day or boarding student, but are not able to attend due to their family's limited financial capacity to make her wish come true.

Projects in Progress

A recent bequest has allowed the Foundation to award up to 15 Scholarships per annum for girls who wish to study within The Glennie School's Performing Arts program. The Foundation has also embarked on a fundraising campaign to increase the endowment to $20 million through donations and bequests. This fund is being used to expand the number scholarships on offer for academic study, general academic ability but with a special talent and indigenous girls.

Wills and Bequests

A number of bequests have been received and have added to the Foundation's endowment for Sholarships. A bequest to the Foundation can be specific or general in nature and directed toward scholarships, buildings, library and other resources and activities that enhance the learning and living environment for Glennie girls.

General Donations

General donations are welcome. The Glennie Foundation is preparing for a Capital Campaign in support of the Glennie School's Strategic Plan for facilities, 2011 to 2020. This Campaign is expected to generate up to $5 million.

Volunteering

Volunteers are sought to assist with research and database management.
