Future2 Foundation

Mission / Objective

Future2 exists to support the financially underprivileged and to enable the financial planning profession, and others linked to it, to give back to the community from which they draw their livelihoods. The name Future2 reflects our intent to contribute to programs which give a second chance and hope for a better future to Australians trapped in difficult financial or social circumstances.

Beneficiary Group

Disadvantaged youth, especially those between 18 and 25 years, is an area of special focus. Our grants go to community groups and not for profit organisations that work to improve the lives and prospects of young people struggling against financial and social disadvantage and who have special needs. Their lives may be affected by povery, social isolation, homelessless or addition. They include society's most marginalised groups, such as young offenders, new immigrants and indigenous people. Future2 trustees look for projects with measurable achievements within specific timeframes and which frequently have no alternative source of funding. All applications require the support of financial planning professionals - either members of the Financial Planning Association or other recognised industry bodies.
