Cure for Life Foundation

Mission / Objective

Cure for Life Foundation is devoted to saving lives of people suffering from brain tumours, through advances in research and education in neurosurgery. It surprises many people to learn that brain tumours are the most common life-threatening tumours in children. The incidence is not only high, it seems to be increasing every year. Even though neurosurgery is giving many children a better life, still more can be done. That is why the Cure for Life Foundation was created.

Projects in Progress

CFLF is funding one of the largest ever research projects into brain tumours in Australia. A $600,000 fellowship has been awarded to Children's Cancer Institute Australia to investigate the mechanisms of initiation and prevention of brain tumours. CFLF is also funding an innovative paediatric rehabilitation programme at Sydney Children's Hospital.
