Country Women's Association of NSW

The CWA of NSW is a proactive association working for the welfare of all women and their families.

Mission / Objective

(a) To bring all women and families together and form a network of support. (b) To provide a forum for the voice of all women in New South Wales. (c) To improve conditions and welfare of all women and families especially in country areas. (d) To support schemes which enhance the value of country living, especially health and educational facilities. (e) To encourage development in regional areas and to increase the viability of rural communities and the environment. (f) To provide a voice to Government at all levels. (g) To promote International goodwill, friendship, understanding and tolerance between all people.

Projects in Progress

- Supports its network of approximately 440 Branches located throughout NSW - Encourages and fosters the growth of its 11,000 members through opportunities for networking, learning skills, friendship and service - Lobbies and makes representation to Federal and State Governments on matters relevant to its members including Agriculture and the Environment, Communications, Education, Health, Social Issues, Sustainability, and Transport - Provides financial support via educational grants - supports a Medical Research Fund and other charities - assists families with Australia and around the world affected by disasters through its Disaster Relief Fund (this fund has DGR status).
