Clifford Craig Medical Research Trust

Mission / Objective

To facilitate the establishment of high quality research at the Launceston General Hospital that will provide ongoing improvement and inquiry into health matters of relevance to the Tasmanian community. To act as a catalyst for the initiation and construction of health care research at the Launceston General Hospital for the benefit of the community, using funding mechanisms and encouraging the forging of strong bonds between the community, the hospital, the University of Tasmania and other research organisations.

* The early diagnosis and treatment of Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus. * Lipid Lowering and the Progression of Renal Disease. * Tasmanian Bowel Cancer Registry. * Reversal of functional and precention of structural abnormalities in Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. * Risk Factors for chronic respiratory diseases in middle age: 35 year follow up of the Tasmanian Asthma Study.
