Mission / Objective

In collaboration with the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust, Cambridge Australia Scholarships awards up to ten Ph.D scholarships and a number of Masters degree half-scholarships each year. Successful Cambridge Australia scholars, once they have completed their degrees at Cambridge, are known as Fellows of the Cambridge Commonwealth Society. This international network of scholars and Cambridge alumni encompasses all countries supported by the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust.

Projects in Progress

Around 1000 Australians have been supported by the Cambridge Australia Scholarships (and its predecessor organisation) since establishment in the 1980s. In 2011, 36 scholars resident in Cambridge were directly supported financially by Cambridge Australia Scholarships, across a range of disciplines in both the sciencies and the humanities.

General Donations

Donations to Cambridge Australia Scholarships are tax deductible in Australia. You can make a donation online on our website: http://www.cambridgeaustralia.org.au/Donations/ As part of our association with the Australian National University (ANU), donations to Cambridge Australia Scholarships are currently made via the ANU endowment fund. ANU has committed to hold donated funds for the sole purpose of Cambridge Scholarships. Alternatively, you can make a payment by cheque. Cheques should be made payable to The Australian National University but MUST be accompanied by a direction that the donation is for the benefit of the Cambridge Australia Scholarships .
