General Donations

You can be part of the Australian Conservation Foundation's work for practical and lasting solutions to the most urgent environmental problems. We are funded almost entirely by you – our members and donors who support us, and who work with us to achieve a healthy sustainable environment for all.

Why support ACF?

Supporting ACF will help ensure that future generations have healthy rivers, clean air, flourishing forests, unspoiled oceans and protection for our unique animals and plants. We strive for a harmonious existence between people and nature, now and for the future.

Supporting ACF means supporting humanity. Supporting ACF means you can share the vision for a sustainable Australia.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible. Membership is not tax deductible.

What have we achieved together?

Our biggest achievement in the past 45 years is giving the environment a voice and representing the needs and wants of all Australians who share the vision of a sustainable Australia. We represent them with honesty, integrity and with passion.

Only with the support from ordinary Australians have ACF been able to help preserve our Australian way of life for future generations to enjoy by:

  • Having some of our most beautiful icons, such as the Blue Mountains, Uluru and Kakadu declared World Heritage areas.

  • Saving the Great Barrier Reef from oil exploration and having it declared a Marine Park, to allow the unique marine life and coral species to flourish and develop naturally.

  • Preventing the beautiful Franklin River in Tasmania from being dammed and preserving some of the world's most breathtaking wilderness areas.

  • Successfully lobbying a Federal Parliamentary Inquiry to recommend that proposed uranium exports to Russia should not proceed
